On Windows 10, the modern Mail app includes a new feature called “Focus Inbox,” which uses machine learning to sort emails and helps you to focus on the most important emails. It divides your inbox into two sections named Focused and Other.
In the Focused section, you’ll find your most important emails, and the rest on Other. The problem is that out-of-the-box the feature needs of your help to understand what is and what’s not important, which can lead to miss important emails.
If Focused Inbox isn’t for you, here is how you can disable it:
- Open Mail.
- Click the Settings (gear) button in the bottom left corner of the app.
- Click on Reading.
- At the bottom of the page, select the account – if you have multiple account configured on the Mail.
- Turn off the Sort messages into Focused and Other toggle switch to complete the task.
