How to disable 'Suggested apps' from Share on Windows 10

Starting with the Creators Update, Windows 10 includes a new Share experience, which appears when you click the Share button in File Explorer, Microsoft Edge, and other apps.

The new experience is actually useful and makes it very easy to share links and files. However, it also shows suggested apps, which are not installed on your device, but you can get them by clicking the link and push the Install button in the Windows Store, which is something many users will consider as more ads in WIndows 10.

If you don’t like to see this app suggestions, you can easily turn this feature off by doing the following:

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. Click the Share button.
  3. In the “Share” experience, right-click on empty space, and click the Show app suggestions option.
