Microsoft is planning to introduce a redesigned version of the default Mail and Calendar apps with the next major update of Windows 10 due in 2018, which we know as version 1803 (Redstone 4), with Fluent Design.
Recently a preview of the apps have been appearing in the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview builds showcasing some of these new features, including Acrylic material and Reveal highlight.
However, if you’re an Insider and you want to check out these new changes, you need to make sure to change your current settings to see the new Acrylic material effect:
- Open Mail settings.
- Click on Personalization.
- Turn off the background feature.
Once you’ve completed the steps, if you have the testing version, you’ll see Acrylic material alongside Reveal highlight on the Mail and Calendar apps.
