How to fix Windows 10 Event ID - 10016

My computer has been shutting down and restarting by itself without any warning while playing games. The text for the error is:

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
to the user DESKTOP-6D82QH9\Lone Wolf Gaming SID (S-1-5-21-3907365291-2483176166-3705257594-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

I’ve tried going into the registry editor to change the permissions of the Administrators group to full control, but each time I try to apply the changes it says “Unable to save permission changes on {D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160}. Access is denied”

Does anyone know how I can get around this? Thanks in advance

Which version of Windows 10 are you using?
Does it happen while playing any game? Or when playing any game?
Did you install a Windows or game update recently?

I’m using version 17134. It generally happens when playing games that have some form of online mode. I hadn’t installed any new versions of Windows or games when this problem started.

Windows 10 errors with 10016 code are actually common errors, which makes a bit difficult to troubleshoot and fix the problem

In order to troubleshoot and fix your problem, try uninstalling the most recent cumulative update to see if that fixes the problem.

It could also be a problem with the video driver, if you’re using the latest video driver from your manufacturer, try to remove it, and install use Windows Update to install the most recent available driver.

If you’re still having problems, you may want to upgrade to the October 2018 Update.

In the case, you’re still having issues, share the details, and we’ll continue with the troubleshooting process.
