I'm getting 'not a valid backup location for system image' on Windows 10

While trying to configure a system image backup, selecting a USB flash drive with more than enough space formatted using NTFS, Windows 10 says the storage is not a valid backup location for system image.

The system image backup tool included with Windows 10 by designed doesn’t support to create backups on a USB flash drive (thumb drive).

So, it’s not a problem with drive itself, you must use a USB hard drive, including SSD or traditional rotating platter drive in order for the backup to work.

Alternatively, you can also save the backup on another partition in the save hard drive.
