Should I update to Windows 10 version 1909

I read the article “Should I install Windows 10 version 1909 on my PC? Yes, but it depends” by Mauro Huc date 10/17/19.

I purchased a new computer in early October 2019 and it is currently running version 1809 64-bit.

Per the windows update window - it is suggesting I update to version 1909.

The Windows 10 Update screen on my computer is NOT stating “Optional updates available” that line is not there.

In his article Mauro Huc did not make it really clear to me if I should update now to version 1909.

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

DWB

Hello,
At this point in time, it’s safe to install Windows 10 version 1909. Having said that, it’s always recommended to create a full backup before proceeding in case something wrong happens.

If I remember correctly, the you’ll see the link after clicking the Check for updates button, but seeing that you’re running a now very old version, it’s likely that checking for updates will trigger the installation automatically.

Thanks I will take care of it tomorrow.

Thanks,

David
